Welcome to Legends Lighting Co. ("Legends," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, our quote-request services, and the permanent lighting products and installation services we provide. By using our website or requesting a quote, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Our services

Legends designs, sells, and installs permanent exterior lighting systems and provides a companion smartphone application for controlling those systems. Descriptions of products and services on this website are for general information and may be updated at any time without notice.

2. Quotes and estimates

When you submit the quote form, you are requesting an estimate, not entering into a binding contract. Any quote or estimate we provide is non-binding, may be subject to an on-site assessment, and may change based on the scope of work, property conditions, materials, and other factors. A binding agreement is formed only when you and Legends sign a written installation agreement.

3. Scheduling and installation

We make reasonable efforts to complete installations promptly. Most homes are completed in a single day, while larger or more complex properties may require additional time. Installation timelines are estimates and may be affected by weather, property access, materials availability, and other circumstances beyond our control.

4. Warranty

Eligible installations include a one-year warranty covering parts and labor for defects in materials or workmanship. System components, including bulbs, are rated for approximately 50,000 hours of use. If a covered component fails before reaching that threshold, we will replace the component at no charge; a service-call labor fee may apply. Warranty coverage is described in full in your installation agreement and does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, alterations, severe weather, or third parties.

5. Pricing and payment

Prices, deposits, and payment terms are set out in your installation agreement. You agree to pay all amounts when due. Unless stated otherwise, all prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude applicable taxes.

6. Communications and consent

By submitting your information through our forms, you agree that Legends and its representatives may contact you by email, text message (SMS), and phone regarding your request, your project, and related offers. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency may vary. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those emails. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional messages necessary to service your project.

7. Referral program

Our referral program offers a reward (currently $100) for each qualifying referral who completes a lighting installation with us, along with group discounts where available. Program terms, reward amounts, and eligibility are subject to change or discontinuation at any time.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, the Legends name and wordmark, and the design — is owned by or licensed to Legends and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute it without our prior written permission.

9. Third-party services

Our lighting systems are operated through a smartphone application that may be provided by or rely on third parties, and our site may link to third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties, and your use of those services is governed by their own terms.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

Except for the express warranty described in Section 4 and in your installation agreement, our website and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Legends will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the website or services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the services giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Legends and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the website or your breach of these Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Utah.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page, and your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
